Biographical Information

I first attended Antioch when attempting to complete my bachelors degree as a non-traditional student. I was married, father of two daughters, a volunteer, and traveled five states for my job. My schedule made it impossible for me to attend a traditional college. Finding Antioch’s Saturday adult degree completion program made all the difference.

From that beginning, I continued on to earn three degrees from Antioch and I am now working on my doctorate at Lesley University in Cambridge. More important than the degrees, Antioch enabled me as an adult learner to gain content knowledge, develop as a person, and make a contribution to the broader community.

My Antioch experience directly contributes to my professional roles. After earning my bachelors degree I became a branch director of United Way. After leaving, I started and ran two organizations, Community Mediation Services of Southern Ohio and Mosaic Group LLC. During that time I had the privilege of serving as Project Manager for the Cincinnati Police Community Relations Collaborative (an unprecedented and historical effort to resolve alleged racial profiling by police through participatory consensus building and mediation).

To date, I have trained over a thousand individuals in conflict resolution techniques and processes. My expertise is in Identity Based Conflict and in building and bridging relationships between diverse populations.
