Biographical Information
Serving as the Registrar at Antioch Midwest engages me with a student population and an institution type that has long interested me. I have worked in academic administration since completing my doctorate in 1995. While at the University of Minnesota, I advised students on probation to assist them in achieving academic success. I then became Dean of First-year Students at Wesleyan University in Connecticut, working with traditional-age freshmen in a liberal-arts setting. When my husband accepted a faculty position at University of Dayton, I was hired as the Registrar at Wilmington College, a small, Quaker-affiliated college with adult-education outreach programs in Cincinnati. I left that position to stay at home with my young children for a few years, and resumed work as the Director of Professional Development for the Graduate School at The Ohio State University. However, through these experiences, I had developed an increasing interest in the experiences of non-traditional students, and have looked for a way to involve myself in that educational mission. The Registrar position at Antioch McGregor, therefore, represents an ideal fit with my experiences and interests.
