Description of Work

Operate the Glen Helen Nature Shop, especially on weekends. Specific responsibilities include:

• Open/Close store
• Greet and assist visitors/customers
• Ring up sales of nature-related items on cash register
• Pricing/stocking/record keeping, and other routine store management responsibilities
• Inform visitors of membership drive and importance of membership
• Provide support for weddings/memorials and other day rentals
• Answer general public questions about Glen HelenAdditional responsibilities, as necessary.

Qualifications

Glen Helen Weekend Cashier must be exceptionally reliable, honest and responsible. Able to take direction and work without direct supervision. Excellent people skills. Must be able to present self well to visiting public, and be friendly and outgoing towards visitors. Attention to detail required. Previous retail experience a plus, but not required. Familiarity with Glen Helen mission, trail system, and natural history a plus.
