Q. How is an M.A. in management
different than an M.B.A.?
A. With an M.B.A. an area of concentration,
i.e. accounting, finance, marketing, etc. needs to be declared; the M.A.
in management does not require an area of concentration. It also approaches
the study of management from the perspective of the general manager and
gives the student a well-rounded business management education.
Q. How long will it take to
complete the degree program?
A. 18 months (6 quarters)
Q. What does "involvement
in study group teams" really mean?
A. Each student is placed on a study
group team at the beginning of the program. The team members work together
throughout the program on all classes. There are both team and individual
projects assigned during the program. This concept helps the team members
to help each other in areas where they may have a level of expertise,
and to get assistance in areas where they need some help.
