Research Associate, June 2001- July 2003. Managed and analyzed large qualitative data bases in social/behavioral, education intervention studies in an urban school district to assess the effectiveness of a cooperative learning curriculum in promoting healthy decision-making among middle school students with respect to sexual and drug use behavior. Collected ethnographic, process evaluation and other qualitative data; worked with a multi-disciplinary team to design and execute teacher trainings, wrote reports and publications, made presentations at national conferences.

Vanderbilt Institute for Public Policy Studies, Nashville, Tennessee.

Postdoctoral Fellow, March to August 2001. Created and managed a comparative data base to evaluate the process of redesigning postsecondary biomedical engineering curricula at four universities in the United States based on the collaboration between the learning sciences, learning technologies and the domains of bioengineering.

Program Evaluation Team: Member. June 1999 to May 2001. Collaborated with other member of the team on the design, management and execution of several program evaluation projects; instructed and supervised undergraduate research assistants in data collection techniques such as facilitating focus groups and conducting interviews and report writing.
