Biographical Information

In my present position, I guide and teach wonderful adults who are seeking to advance themselves in the world and in their understanding of that world.

I began my professional career as a high school math teacher. After twenty years I transitioned into the field of counseling. In the process I developed a court alcohol education program, a pastoral counseling center and an EAP program (Employee Assistance Program). I also pastored a Quaker meeting and worked with inner-city teenagers.

I came to Antioch University Midwest from a Quaker hospital in Philadelphia where I developed and directed the Department of Chaplaincy and co-chaired the hospital ethics committee.
