General Education and Content Requirements / Applicant Transcript Self-Evaluation
All students, regardless of license being sought, must complete the general education requirements. Typically, general education and content requirements will have been completed as a part of an undergraduate degree program. In addition to the general education requirements, you will be required to meet content requirements if pursuing an Adolescent Young adult (AYA) or Middle Childhood Education (MCE) license.
While much of the requirement for content is completed through your bachelor’s degree, you may need to complete additional undergraduate coursework if you don’t meet this requirement. This need is determined by completing the Applicant Transcript Self-Evaluation. You may also be required to produce catalogs, course descriptions, or syllabi to provide evidence of having met the content requirement. Any additional coursework needed may be obtained by taking classes with Antioch University Midwest or at any regionally accredited institution of higher education.
