Antioch University Midwest offers a diverse selection of powerful and distinctive programs for adult students interested in pursuing a new career in education, or furthering their educational leadership skills.
Our graduate programs include teacher licensure in Early Childhood Education (ECE), Middle Childhood Education (MCE), Adolescent & Young Adult Education (AYA) and Special Education (EDS) providing the Mild/Moderate Intervention Specialist license. All of the programs offered under Teacher Licensure below, can include progression through to a Master of Education degree. In addition, it is possible for students to continue on a track that will result in eligibility for an Ohio Principal License.
Conceptual Framework
The conceptual framework for the School of Education at Antioch University Midwest includes the following four goals: Educator as change agent, educator as reflective practitioner, educator as critical thinker, and educator as integrator of theory to practice. Within each of these four goals are program specific candidate proficiencies that all teacher licensure and principal candidates are required to meet.
