The Antioch University Midwest (AUM) Development and Alumni Services Office supports the campus in its purpose to pass on to its graduates a legacy of passion for lifelong learning and a commitment to the application of knowledge toward the betterment of our workplaces, our communities and the wider society. This supports the University’s mission to nurture in their students the knowledge, skills and habits of reflection to excel as lifelong learners, democratic leaders and global citizens who live lives of meaning and purpose. We are proud of our alumni. Our office works directly with AUM trustees, faculty, staff, alumni, friends, foundations and corporations. We participate in internal and external community outreach by articulating and demonstrating AUM’s purpose in an effort to enhance AUM’s image and identity. By doing so, our office seeks and secures funds for the program enhancement and operational support of AUM, and in addition will work to build an endowment for student scholarship and campus sustainability.

Who We Are

Kimberly Horton is the Director of Development and Alumni Relations and began her appointment in September, 2009. Kim is a 1999 alumna of AUM’s undergraduate program and brings 11 years of non-profit administrative experience including 7 years of higher education administration and advancement experience. Kim’s previous assignments have been with The Dayton Area Chapter of the American Red Cross, The Foodbank and United Theological Seminary. Kim has also served as an independent consultant specializing in starting small development offices in grass roots organizations. Kim has been active with The Association of Fundraising Professionals Dayton Chapter, served on the board of The Partnership for Philanthropic Planning of Greater Dayton, was a board member for the Trotwood Chamber of Commerce, as well as the Yellow Springs Chamber of Commerce, is a Rotarian, serving previously with the Dayton Club and currently with the Springfield Club and is a member of Team In Training, running marathons to help find a cure for Leukemia, Lymphoma and other types of cancer. Kim is currently a candidate for the Master of Arts in Conflict Analysis and Engagement.

Audrey Treasure is now the Advancement and Strategic Partnerships Officer and began her appointment as Assistant Director of Development for Grants and Contracts in February, 2010. Audrey received her undergraduate degree from Indiana University and brings with her a strong background in grant-writing and administration as well as program implementation. Audrey spearheaded the “Junior Achievement Fellows Program”  which has recently been adopted by 140 chapters of Junior Achievement nationwide. Audrey has been an active volunteer with Big Brothers Big Sisters, she is a member of the Greater Dayton Association of Grants Professionals, volunteers on the Event Planning Committee for the Dayton Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, serves as an Ambassador for the Dayton Chamber of Commerce, a member of Generation Dayton, is an advocate for STOP Dayton and is current candidate for a Master of Arts in AUM’s Graduate Management Program. Audrey completed her Master of Arts in Management in spring of 2012.

Karen Hunt joined the team in July, 2010 as the Donor Relations Specialist. Karen is an alumna of Wright State University and has several years of local experience in public relations and higher education administration. Karen’s most recent assignment was with Central State University. She has also worked with Paramount King’s Island, Cancer Prevention Center, Community Blood Center/Community Tissue Bank and City of Dayton. Karen is an active member of Zion Global Ministries Church where she participates in Sign Language Ministry. She is also the Secretary of the African American Alumni Society for Wright State University, the former PR Chair of the national conference of the National Alliance of Black Interpreters, and is currently the Marketing Specialist for the Puerto Rican and Carribbean Organization. Karen is currently a candidate in AUM’s Individualized Master of Arts program. Karen completed her Individualized Master of Arts in Leadership and Education Studies.
