The Dyslexia Certificate Program is built upon the latest research and best practices for working with students with dyslexia. Antioch University Midwest’s Dyslexia Certificate Program has met tthe International Dyslexia Association’s Knowledge and Practice Standards for Teachers of Reading, and has been recognized with IDA accreditation.
The 17-credit program is offered throughout the year, with entry beginning in Fall, Spring, and Summer semesters. Coursework is offered in a blended format to meet the needs of K12 classroom educators. Educators receive the highest quality of instruction from faculty with a rich background of work in K12 reading environments, many of whom are currently practitioners in the field.
- Have a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution with a minimum 2.75 GPA
- Complete a skills assessment test proctored at Antioch University Midwest.
- Be interviewed by the Program Chair.
Interested applicants will need to complete an online application, provide a copy of all transcripts, and a copy of current teaching license. A letter of interest must also be submitted with application paperwork, expressing why the applicant is interested in pursuing the Dyslexia Certificate.
