About AUM

Antioch University Midwest  is one of the five campuses of Antioch University, an institution proud of serving adult learners and their specific needs. Antioch University is a multi-campus university of more than 4,000 students who study at the Antioch Midwest campus in Yellow Springs, OH, and at campuses in Seattle,   Los Angeles,  Santa Barbara, and Keene, New Hampshire, online and around the world!

Founded in 1852 in Yellow Springs, Ohio, Antioch University has earned the distinction of 52 continuous years of full accreditation. Antioch University is distinctive in American higher education in its explicit commitment to social consciousness and the responsibilities of citizenship and its focus on the Adult Learner.

While Antioch University is committed to the education of the whole individual, Antioch’s philosophy has also been greatly influenced by the concept of asking students not to wait for the end of their studies to move into the work world, but to travel back and forth, making that movement between work and study the focus of their learning. This introduction of a work-study program into a liberal arts college broke tradition, making Antioch in the 1920′s different from all other liberal arts colleges.
